Description of Course:
The Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED course trains participants on how to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. This course is designed for anyone involved in childcare who have a duty to respond to illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Including: childcare workers, teachers, camp counselors, etc. 

We provide CPR Training Services for:
Security officers, airline personnel, camp counselors, police and firefighters, teachers, teacher assistants, Instructional Aides, day-care workers, aerobics teachers, physical fitness trainers, Hotel Staff, Construction Staff, Amusement Park Staff, Churches Staff, Parents, Grandparents, New Parents, Teenagers, School Staff, Movie Theater Staff, Restaurant workers, Coaches, Athletic Directors, Foster Parents, Adopting Parents, Truck Drivers, Oil Field Workers, Electricians, anyone who has the responsibility to respond to a first aid emergency due to regulatory requirements, and any individuals who want Pediatric First Aid, CPR, and AED Training.

Course Content:

• First aid basics including medical, injury, poison, and environmental emergencies, preventing illnesses and injuries and controlling bleeding & bandaging. Covers topics like using a tourniquet, shock, internal bleeding, burns and electrical injuries, allergic reactions, breathing problems & dehydration, diabetes & low blood sugar, heat-and cold-related emergencies, drowning, amputations, bites and stings, broken bones and sprains. Also covers splinters, nose bleeds, fainting, seizures, and injuries to the head, eyes, neck, spine, mouth, and teeth.
• CPR AED and choking: CPR and AED Use for Adults, Children and Infants, Adult, Child, and Infant Choking

Course Length: 5 – 6 Hours

Students MUST pass a Written Exam (84%) and Skills Testing in order to qualify for a Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Course Completion eCard by the American Heart Association. New 2020 Guidelines by American Heart Association, students may use the Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Student Manual while taking the Written Examination.

Upon successful completion of the course with the American Heart Association 2020 Guidelines, the student will receive an American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Course Completion eCard that is valid for 2 years.

Book:
American Heart Association requires all students to have a Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Student Manual or eBook to study before, during, and after class. Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Student Manual or eBook is required for class. Each student MUST have own copy of Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Student Manual or eBook for class. No sharing of Student Manual or eBook is allowed. You can purchase and pay American Heart Association directly for your Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Student Manual.
